  1. What’s your biggest asset to your softball team? I have quick feet that help me travel around the bases and get to the ball in the outfield efficiently. My strong personality also helps lead this team and Stoughton’s talented players in the right direction.

  2. What are your personal goals short-term and long-term? My short-term goals revolve around improving my swings at the plate. My long-term goals I hope to keep my head high if I’m not living up to my personal expectations or the outcome of the game.

  3. Do you have any softball superstitions? If so, what are they? The only superstition I have is not stepping on the painted lines before the game starts.

  4. Who inspires you? My dad inspires me. I started playing softball to make him happy and I ended up falling in love with the game. Everything he says to me I try to absorb to make myself a better player, but also to make him happy. I want to make him proud and it is great way for us to bond.

  5. Most memorable moment of your high school career thus far? The most memorable moment was a game we played at Milton my sophomore year. The weather was gloomy, wet, and uncomfortably cold. There was a short ball hit a few feet from where the infield met the outfield. I dove as far forward as I could to reach the ball, caught it, and got us out of the inning. I got the wind knocked out of me. However, I was first to bat that inning and ended up getting on base. That was a moment of my high school softball career I will not forget.

  6. What are your plans after high school? I plan on attending UW La-Crosse to pursue Physical Therapy.

  7. What’s the biggest obstacle you’ve had to overcome? I had to overcome my negative thinking when I wasn’t playing to my full potential. It has held me and my team back from improving. When one person loses their positivity, it impacts everyone around them.

  8. If you were stranded on a desert island, what’s one thing you’d want to have with you? I would want a boat with a full tank of gas.

  9. What’s a talent you have away from the softball field? I’m good at finding cool things at thrift stores.

  10. What’s the biggest life lesson that softball has taught you? Softball has taught me that being upset at one little thing can have a negative effect on not only yourself and your performance, but also the people around you. Nothing good comes from being upset over something for a long period of time. Think about it, but don’t dwell on it.
